Seek Him

Greetings everyone,

Why pray? We pray because prayer opens up the floodgates of God's infinite grace and power to flow toward the person in need. God can act without prayer, but He chooses to operate within the boundaries of human will and invitation. He allows us to participate in His work on earth with each prayer. When we face a tough situation, our first response should be to ask for God's help. He longs to be our helper and to be fully involved in our lives.

Give your troubles to God: He will be up all night anyway.

God Help those who Seek Him
Psalm 121
I will lift up my eyes to the hills---
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Lonely Times

Do you ever battle with self-doubt? One of the most powerful scriptures in the Bible is, "We love Him because He first loved us." How much energy do we put into striving for the attention, affection, approval, and love of others? We have a tendency to think that if someone would give us a stamp validating us as desirable, we would finally be whole. But the truth is that no one can make us whole if we are not already fulfilled within ourselves. The only one capable of giving us the fulfillment we desire is God Himself. Nobody else is capable of filling all the empty spaces in our spirit. We have fashioned in such a way that no external element is able to do what the Holy Spirit specializes in doing within. When we release others from doing what our heart demands, God will come in to meet our expectation with gifts more fulfilling than we ever dreamed.

I want to hear from you please feel free to post comments and ask questions. Share your story and testimony or even prayer request. We're all in this together. Let's lift up the name of Jesus and let him be glorified through all of our trials, test and tribulations. They all come to make us stronger in Him.

Hold on to your SMILE!
